The main theme of my work is 'Imperfection is Beauty'. It conveys how beautiful things can deteriorate, rust and break however the beauty that made you fall in love with them to begin with still remains throughout their life. It also conveys how beauty can be found in unusual places, how you are drawn to items which some may tut and sneer at but to you it is your definition of beautiful, it pulls at memories or depicts just how you were feeling at a time in your life but never quite found the words. At first you may not understand why you want to look at it, why you want to appreciate it but soon you realise the pain or the thoughts that it brings back to you with a way of describing it you never knew was possible. Its hidden meaning, personal, private and secretive, only you know and you want it to stay that way.
